As most of you know by now, males have a difficult time understanding females and females have a difficult time understanding males. We seem to struggle, trying to get into relationships, then trying to keep them. Most of us don’t learn what to do and not to until years of trial and error. Luckily there are relationship coaches who can help you cut down the time of learning how to win and keep the heart of that special person. Most relationship coaches have degrees in psychology, and have taken multiple relationship classes, as well as their own experience. Recently, I became an affiliate of a mail order bride dating website called Anastasia Date or Anastasia International (in other words I refer people to them and get paid for it).  I then started wondering if these women were being used…or what about the men?  I’ve heard in the past that these men are taking advantage of poor women, and they are nothing but losers who can’t get women in the USA.  I’ve also heard that these women are just gold diggers who are just using these men to get to the USA and will divorce them right after they get their green card or US Citizenship.

What I found out from Wikipedia.com is that these marriages actually have a lower rate of divorce, then men and women who are both American citizens who marry each other right here in the USA.  Furthermore, they stated that more divorces happened with men who earned under $50,000 a year, and/or if there was more than a 15 year age difference.

I felt better about being an affiliate once I learned that these marriages are really no different than other marriages.

When I was young I only went for looks in men.  I was only interested in men I was physically attracted to.  The result?  I married a broke guy, divored, then had to work minimum wage jobs to support my two children alone, and received pennies for child support, and times when I didn’t receive any child support.  I didn’t finish college because I got pregnant right after I got married, and I got married while I was in college.  I became really really sick during pregnancy, which caused me to quit school…then things just went down hill from there.

What did I learn?  If most marriages don’t work anyway, and if most of the time women end up with the children full time, and if most of the time women make less money than men, then why not have babies by men who can afford them, instead some cute dead beat, who leaves you with all of the baggage to carry by yourself?  I also thought about how as little girls, we are fed this bunch of garbage (which I refer to as the “Cinderella Syndrome”), that makes us believe that the handsome prince is going to sweep us off of our feet and we are going to live how?  “LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER”!  Yeah, I’m sure you remember that line at the end of every fairy tale.

Are you being abused?

The subject of abuse and domestic violence is dear to my heart, because I have been a victim of it.

I want to share with women some signs to look for in men that will tell you if this man has a great chance of becoming abusive with you in the future. Here’s some warning signs:

1. Gets attached to you as soon as you meet him. Always calls, doesn’t want to get off of the phone. This type of person in the future will probably try to keep you away from your family and friends, and if you don’t listen, you may end up getting hit, or even worse.

2. Is unnecessarily rude to people in public. This rudeness will probably turn toward you in the future.

3. Likes to make fun of you, and tell you what you need to do to be better and improve yourself. This will probably turn into long turn emotional abuse, and will damage your self-esteem.

4. Hits you once, and/or admits that he has hit women in the past, but has excuses for it. He will probably hit you too.

5. Does things to hurt you emotionally or physically then says he’s joking, or just playing with you. That will probably turn into real serious injuries in the future, in the beginning he’s testing you to see how much he can get away with.
